Will transforming the Reed Center into a Nature Center with community based organic gardening benefit the City of Hallowell? Who will benefit?
The Reed Center will become the Reed Nature Center with at least three acres set aside behind the Center for organic gardening. The upper undeveloped land with two open fields will have trails and an outdoor theater for community concerts and educational programs. The former gymnasium in the Reed Center will be transformed into a performance hall and center for educational presentations.
